Born in Belfast in 1944,Darren Paul has always had a loving relationshipwith art. As a youth he remembers fondly art classes under the tutorage of Desmond Kinney and attending lectures delivered byNeil Shawcross at Belfast Technical Collage.Darren Pauls skill lies in his technique of storytelling on canvas.His style is impressionistic and figurative. Thus far he has concentrated mainly on painting the landscapes,seascapes and townscapes of Ireland.To the artist,however,location takes second place to his central purpose,that of capturing the moment,experience and mood of the time
